Rare February Outdoor Event

For the first time in TPCA history we were able to play cornhole outside in February.  We had a rare, warm 70 degree day and decided to take advantage of it. It was a nice break from playing in the smokey pub.  The boards had been refurbished with new vinyl tops and the score towers had been rebuilt – Keefer proofed.  We also had brand new ACO official bags.  And there was a Shick !  Dan Oren and Nick Gates bit it.  Great start to the 2017 season.

2016 Christmas Beer Exchange and Cornhole Spectacular

The traditional Christmas Beer Exchange and Cornhole Spectacular was held at John’s factory in Wilder.  We exchanged beer and had plenty of appetizers and snacks.  There were 6 teams that competed for prizes of Jim Beam.  The winning team was Mark Schweitzer and George Schurr.   There were no Shick’s, Roy’s or Dirc’s but there may have been 1 Toe Tag.  Bill was fined for un-sportsman like conduct and equipment damage. Thanks to John for hosting and Dirc for helping to setup.  Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for a great 2016 year of Cornhole and Bro time.

2016 Pub Crawl

Last night we had our annual TPCA Pub Crawl.  We do this every year because Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday so Cornhole can’t happen.

Started at The Olde Fort Pub, then went to Fort Thomas Pizza and Tavern, finally ended the night at the Midway.   Great time!   Here are some photos of the night.

2017 Fall Toss-off

These are photos of the TPCA 2017 Official End of Outdoor Season Fall Toss-off and Cornhole Extravaganza.  We had 5 teams in a blind draw, double elimination tournament. The unlikely winners were the team of Steve Miller and Dan Orem. Expect the unexpected!

Along with an assortment of appetizers we ate fabulous home made chicken wings supplied by Dirc and homemade sausage supplied by Wally.  Steve Hensley utilized his skills as an athletic director to configure and manage the bracket. No Shick’s no Dirc’s tonight.  It was a warm night for November and a great night for cornhole.

DIRCed

Dirc Lindeman was Shicked twice back to back on 10/13/16 thus coining new terms- Dirced and Double Dirced.  We never thought such an event could occur.

Responsible partners were Bill Keefer 1st round and Steve Miller 2nd round.  Both cans are now in Dirc’s possession. Could be there a long, long time.

Bill’s body parts are still stinging.
